Open Kitchen, the sustainable and ethical cafe & bar located at people’s History Museum on Bridge Street is hosting another wine club event and tickets are available now.

The event is a wine tasting evening exploring some beautiful European wines (keeping it local to keep the carbon footprint low.) All selected vineyards are small, family or cooperative owned, who practise sustainable land management. Wines will be paired with chef-made chips, dips, and nibbles to continue the exploration of flavour.

Corin Bell, Director of Open kitchen says: “Messages about sustainability can sometimes feel like they are all about going without – ‘don’t eat meat, don’t fly, don’t drive.’ We’re trying to focus on the positive side of sustainability that’s about making shifts in our behaviour that are kinder to the planet, and support workers locally and around the world.

“Our wine club events celebrate food and lovely wine, are great fun, and don’t preach…. And quietly in the background, we’re educating and inspiring people to make more sustainable choices. Who doesn’t want to drink great wine, and feel smug about it “

Tickets are £33.22 (including booking fee) and can be booked HERE
