Deliveroo is turning nine in Manchester! To celebrate, the delivery app has teamed up with Ad Maiora, a local Italian sandwich shop loved by football players, to create a limited-edition birthday Italian Schiacciata** called the ‘Scran-wich’ – paying homage to the city.
The mouthwatering ‘Scran-wich’ weighs in at a hefty 500 grams and is made up of nine different components (sourced in Italy) inspired by places and sayings from Manchester. These include spicy ‘supersonic’ salami, nowt better N’duja, mozzarella ‘footballs’, sliced Haçienda heritage tomatoes, ‘r kid Italian wild rocket, 0161 olives, lashings of mad fer it mayonnaise, ‘buzzing bee’ basil leaves and ‘let’s ave it’ red onions – all sandwiched between fresh homemade Scran-worthy Schiacciata bread.
The ‘Scran-wich’ took local owners and couple Enrico and Daniela weeks to develop the perfect combination and balance of flavours.
To celebrate the 9th birthday milestone with Mancs from across the city, 300 lucky Deliveroo customers can get their mitts on a limited edition ‘Scran-wich’ for JUST 9p from Tuesday, April 30th, until Thursday, May 2nd (available to order only on Deliveroo).
