Open from Tuesdays to Saturdays, Wood is MasterChef Champion 2015 Simon Wood’s first fine dining restaurant. Guests to the restaurant can enjoy Simon’s unintimidating fine dining experience with each dish created with top quality seasonal produce and accompanied with expertly chosen beers, wines and spirits.

This summer, events at Wood include:

Meat and Mead – Wednesday 19th June

Join Wood Manchester for an evening of meat and mead as they serve up the most majestic of meats, the Tomahawk steak, with a selection of locally made Meads for guests to try at this one off event.

The team will bring a hint of Game of Thrones to the restaurant, as they partner with C&O Wines to bring diners a brilliant new range of locally sourced Mead paired with Wood’s famous Tomahawk steaks! The Ye Olde English beverage comes in a variety of flavours and is vegetarian and vegan friendly made by a real life Druid from the Lancashire Mead Company.

Tickets are priced at £60 for a Tomahawk, two sides and a sauce to share and a Mead tasting. A mead flight to accompany the meal will also be available to purchase on the night.

New World vs. Old World Wine Dinner – Friday 26th July

Join Wood for an exploration of the very best of new and old world wines accompanied by a five course tasting menu from Simon Wood and his team.

Enjoy dinner and drinks served in the private dining room as Wood’s wine expert, talks guests through the differences in wines between the different regions.

Dinners can be catered to vegetarians but this event won’t be suitable for vegans or available as a dairy free option. There are only 16 places available from 6.30pm on 26th July, so book now to avoid disappointment by calling 0161 236 5211.

MasterChef Menu Night – Friday 9th August

Since becoming MasterChef Champion in 2015, Simon’s winning menu has evolved a little over the years but the great flavours that the judges loved have only got better. Dine at Wood, experience Simon’s winning menu and hear about how he has developed his cooking since his time on the show in this one off dinner on Friday 9th August in Wood’s private dining room. The meal will include:

Wild Mushroom Raviolo | Sage | Chestnut | Pangrattato

Anjou Squab | Bacon Butty Bread Sauce | Radicchio | Thyme

Citrus Tutti-frutti

Plus bread, amuse bouche and Simon’s signature snacks.

Tickets are available for £75pp including a champagne reception.

Plus Wood’s Ongoing Offers

Wood Wednesday

Wednesday is not, and never will be, the new Friday so to make it just a little bit better Wood are offering diners the chance to dine from the theatre and five course tasting menus for longer every Wednesday.

These menus are normally only available until 6.30pm, but on Wednesday guests can enjoy two courses from the theatre menu for £22.50, three for £27.50 or enjoy five dishes from Simon Wood’s blind tasting all evening. The five course tasting menu is a great way to be introduced to Simon’s unintimidating fine dining mid-week!
