The Refuge by Volta is welcoming 2022 with a riotous celebration as they say Happy New Year with a show stopping spectacle.

Hosted in the Public bar of The Refuge by local legends of the Manchester music scene and special DJ family: DJ Paulette and Supernature Disco for the final hurrah of 2021 into the early hours of 2022.

Following a low-key New Year’s Eve last year, we are now making up for lost time on 31 st
December 2021. Refuge is back, bigger, and brighter than ever before with an emphasis on
togetherness, where everyone is welcome – to come as you are. What better way to
celebrate the new year, than in one of the most striking venues in the city!

The night will be danced away in true notorious Refuge style, as it promises to be a hot
ticket in town. Resident Supernature Disco, originally a duo now a four piece will be kicking
off in the night, followed by DJ Paulette, as they countdown to 2022 in the bar through to the Dining Room then Supernature Disco taking over the deck until late.

For nearly three decades and over three countries, Paulette has held residencies at some of
the most prestigious clubs and best parties in the world, including the Hacienda
(Manchester), The Zap Club (Brighton), The Ministry of Sound, Queen Club and Mix Club
(Paris), Cocoon (Frankfurt), Ibiza Rocks at Pacha and at Pikes Hotel (Ibiza).

Over six years, Supernature Disco have become a formidable force. BB (Ms BB Queenie la
Discoboss to be precise!) along with her husband Richie V, started Supernature in 2015,
running their Sunday daytime, free entry house and disco parties for an up for it crowd.

“Let’s Dance” early bird tickets are priced from £20 per person and available to purchase
online here – book now to avoid disappointment.

For those wanting to make the most of the night, The Refuge is offering “Dine & Dance” tickets which includes a very special New Year’s Eve dinner and a £25 bar tab, priced at £60 per person. The “Dine & Dance” tickets must be pre-booked by telephone on 0161 233 5151 or email on info@refugemcr.co.uk.

The menu is packed with delicious dishes inspired by Volta’s travels, a few examples include venison loin carpaccio, puffed potatoes and much more. The kitchen also offers vegetarian and vegan options that feature many favourite dishes, from smoked aubergine arancini, roasted figs to black bean tacos. For the sweet tooth lovers, enjoy a twist on trifle also known as not your grandma’s trifle and finish the evening off with petits fours.

Come As You Are and celebrate the arrival of 2022 with love and togetherness as the
message – more info here.
