Malibu Drinks announces the opening of a pop-up outdoor lounge with a relaxed beach bar theme, bright decor and an extensive summer cocktail list.
Named, Malibu Beach Club, the summer activation will be returning to Great Northern Square next month.
The only official Malibu bar outside of London, expect cute and colourful aesthetics, a beachy charm, quirky lanterns, palm trees, and ideal spots either in the beaming sunshine (when it arrives) or undercover (and heated) when it rains.
With its iconic white bottle and palm tree logo, Malibu is the number one rum-based coconut spirit in the world, sold in more than 150 countries. The Malibu team welcomes the people of Manchester to embrace a summer mindset and “do whatever tastes good,” inviting guests to settle into this experiential pop-up.
The activation comes with a campaign to promote their most popular products: Malibu White Rum Original Coconut, and newest edition, Malibu White Rum with Strawberry Flavour. There’ll be an exclusive drinks menu at Malibu Beach Club with cocktails you won’t find anywhere else including frozés and Instagram-able specials.
There’s pizza to enjoy too, with an array of choices, all made fresh onsite from a quirky pizza van parked on the terrace.
Each weekend there’ll be DJs playing Ibiza classics mixed with a bit of funk and house.
Grace Bond, Marketing Manager at Pernod Ricard, the company behind Malibu Drinks, says, ‘We’re delighted to be coming to Manchester once again for this fantastic activation at Great Northern. Our aim with this colourful and fun campaign is to make people feel that there is no true summer experience without Malibu!’
The summertime bar, one of the largest terraces in the city, will open from 16th May. The bar is walk-in friendly, but those wanting to secure a spot can book via www.malibubeachclub.co.uk.
The terrace sits right outside retro games bar, Pong & Puck whose teams will be operating the activation.
Sticking around for just the summer, Malibu Beach Club will only be open until September.
Those wanting to make the most of the sunny season can enjoy outdoor bottomless brunch on Saturdays and Sundays for £35. And there’s a happy hour Sunday – Friday 5pm – 7pm with 2-4-1 on selected cocktails, £4 for house beer and £20 for bottles of prosecco.
