Bunsik, the Korean street food brand behind the viral Korean corndog craze, will officially open its second Greater Manchester location at Trafford Centre on Wednesday 20 May.

Opening at The Orient food court, Bunsik Trafford Centre will launch with free corndogs* for the first 100 customers across three consecutive days from Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 May, alongside a series of 50% off deals throughout the opening week, with queues expected on launch day and beyond.

Extended across three days for the first time, the giveaway marks Bunsik’s biggest UK opening promotion to date, following high demand and long queues seen at recent launches.

Opening week offers will include:

Wednesday 20 May: First 100 corndogs free + 50% off cupbap
Thursday 21 May: First 100 corndogs free + 50% off corndogs
Friday 22 May: First 100 corndogs free + 50% off corndogs
Saturday 23 May: 50% off tteokbokki
Sunday 24 May: 50% off fried chicken
The Trafford Centre opening marks Bunsik’s 12th UK location and second site within Greater Manchester, following the success of its Piccadilly Gardens restaurant, which opened in 2023.

Located within Trafford Centre’s hugely popular Orient food court — the largest food court in Europe — the new opening places Bunsik within one of the UK’s top shopping and leisure destinations, making the brand more accessible to customers travelling from across Greater Manchester and the wider North West.

Since launching in London in 2021, Bunsik has become the UK’s No.1 Korean street food brand, spearheading the viral Korean corndog craze in the UK and generating millions of views across TikTok and Instagram through its highly visual food offering.

Known for its molten cheese pulls, Bunsik’s highly customisable made-to-order corndogs come with mozzarella and chicken fillings, optional sugar coating, and a choice of sauces. Alongside its iconic corndogs, customers can also expect Korean fried chicken, spicy tteokbokki, kimbap and cupbap rice bowls, with halal meat used across the menu alongside a variety of vegetarian options.

Simon Layton, Centre Director at Trafford Centre, said: “With its vibrant menu, Bunsik will bring something different to our food offering at Trafford Centre, and given the popularity of its existing restaurants, we’re confident it will be a huge hit with our diners. We’re excited to try the brand’s iconic corndogs for ourselves!”

Jae Cho, Founder of Bunsik, adds: “Manchester has been an incredibly strong market for Bunsik since opening in Piccadilly Gardens, so expanding further into Greater Manchester felt like the natural next step for the brand.

Opening at Trafford Centre gives us the opportunity to introduce Bunsik to even more customers travelling from across the North West. We also wanted to make a real statement for the launch with our biggest free corndog giveaway
