Music venue, bar and food hub New Century has officially launched its first Christmas. The kitchen space has now been transformed into a winter wonderland, with food specials, Christmas cocktails and a stellar line up of acts for guests to enjoy this festive season.
They’ve also added a new Alpine-themed Christmas cabin bedecked throughout with beautiful festive fabrics, decorations and candles which is available for parties to book exclusively for up to 18 guests.
The resident traders have gone all out to create some fantastic Christmas specials too. Hungry festive revellers can get their hands on BaoBros’ blingy Christmas Brisket Bao Dog filled with gochujang braised beef brisket, mulled wine mayo and wild rocket gel and dressed in 24 carat gold.
Other independent street food specials include Tallow’s Turkey Butty. Their ultimate Christmas sarnie is made with turkey, sausage stuffing, cranberry and red cabbage relish, sage and onion mayo and sprout crisps on a focaccia roll.
Pizza experts Wild by Ply are bringing not one but two festive specials to their menu of Neapolitan pizzas. Try the Christmas themed Ply Hard with pancetta, spicy sausage, Brussel sprouts, sage, parmesan, tomato and fior di latte mozzarella, and It’s a Wonderful Slice with Brussel sprouts, sage, Parmesan, chilli oil, tomato and fior di latte mozzarella.
Banh Vi have created their own spin on a festive sandwich. The Chrimbo Katsu Banh Mi is a baguette packed with Pork Katsu, spiced apple sauce, proper stuffing, and herb mayo with pho gravy for dunking. There’s a smoked tofu substitute for the vegan option.
The bar team has also designed a Christmas cocktail menu which includes seasonal concoctions like the Bad Santa with Martell, Disaranno, bitters, demerara sugar and cherry syrup; the sparkly Love Actually with cranberry, lemon, Apérol, Chambord and Prosecco and The Snowman with mincemeat brandy, Licor 43, Cointreau, cream and milk.
Of course you’ll also find all the Christmas classics like mulled wine, hot buttered rum and Irish coffee. Throughout the day, there’ll be gingerbread lattes, and mint or orange hot chocolates on offer and guests can add a boozy twist to these to create rum hot chocolates or even a Baileys latte.
The upstairs hall is also offering a jam packed programme of entertainment with acts to get you in the festive groove. Legendary Australian tribute masters Björn Again will be performing ABBA’s Greatest Hits for the perfect Christmas party on Thursday 15th December. Tickets are available on DICE.
