The Station, one of Altrincham’s most recognisable social venues, has announced it will re-launch as a stylish, completely reimagined destination following a £250,000 refurbishment.
The transformation will unveil a fresh new space designed for after-work drinks, live sport and long summer evenings spent socialising.
Long popular with locals, The Station is now setting its sights on a new audience with a sleek, contemporary fit-out aimed at Altrincham’s young professionals, couples, and social groups. The venue has been fully remodelled throughout, featuring a brand-new bar, upgraded toilets, new flooring, and enhanced lighting, alongside the launch of a striking new outdoor courtyard space. The outdoor area boasts incredible wall projections, stylish furniture, and ambient lighting, creating a vibrant setting for day-to-night drinking in the town.
A major new audio-visual upgrade sees 12 HD screens installed throughout the venue, including in the impressive courtyard, ensuring guests never miss a moment of the action, from live sport to major events, wherever they are seated.
Open from 11am during the week and until 1am every weekend. The Station is set to become Altrincham’s go-to spot for after-work socialising. From Monday-Friday until 7pm, guests can enjoy a dedicated after-work menu featuring half price bottles of prosecco, £4 pints, and £6 glasses of wine. A curated spritz menu adds to the early-evening appeal, with serves including a classic Aperol Spritz, an Amalfi Spritz and a refreshing Hugo Spritz.
Beer lovers can choose from a premium line-up of pints including Beavertown Neck Oil, Moretti, Cruzcampo and Blind Tiger Pilsner, all served from the newly designed bar, perfect for both casual catchups and lively night outs.
Entertainment is central to the new Station experience, with free pool tables and interactive darts available for guests, alongside full sports coverage across all major events. The owners hope the venue will become a favourite new social hub as well as one of Altrincham’s trendiest date-night destinations. The large outdoor courtyard has been transformed into a standout summer hotspot, complete with TV screens and an outdoor sound system, ideal for alfresco drinking and socialising throughout the warmer months.
The venue also offers several semi-private areas available for hire, with a range of drinks packages on offer. A partnership with trendy pizza gaff Nell’s adds to the experience, with a dedicated click-and-collect serve available directly in the venue.
Chris Tulloch, Managing Director at Blind Tiger Inns, said: “The Station has been part of Altrincham for a long time. We wanted to completely transform the space to attract a different clientele and offer something for everyone – from after-work drinks and live sport to summer evenings outdoors in a modern, aesthetic setting. We’re excited to welcome both familiar faces and new guests back through the doors.”
The Station will re-open to the public on Friday 30th January, with tables allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
