Watson Street’s luxurious cocktail bar, Three Little Words, is bringing a new monthly event to Manchester with their TLW Cocktail Club.
Exploring a different theme each month – from spritzes and Tiki favourites, to an agave masterclass – there’s something for everyone with this new series of cocktail tastings and classes.
The series begins on March 29th with ‘Three is the Magic Number’, featuring a home bartender-friendly roster of deceptively simple three-ingredient drinks. These classic cocktails are familiar favourites, but Ben Purday, head bartender at Three Little Words, will be on hand to help you put your own spin on things.
Each class, priced at £30 per person will feature a welcome drink, followed by five small-serve cocktails and a final drink to finish the night, each of which guests will have the opportunity to make themselves.
Throughout the session, you’ll learn about the history, techniques, ingredients and garnishes that make each cocktail unique, so you can put your own twist on a final drink to finish the evening.
Three is the Magic Number will feature seven much-loved cocktails:
- Arrival drink: Negroni
- Small serves:French Martini, Daiquiri, Margarita, Old Fashioned
- And a final drink which you can add your own twist to; the Caipirinha
All recipes delivered in the class will be available to take home on reusable recipe cards. Paired snacks will be prepared as an optional extra to enjoy alongside the drinks at a small additional charge per person (think tacos with your margaritas and olives and arancini with Italian-inspired spritzes.)

Future dates and their themes will follow every month, with more to be added through 2023. Specials include the ‘Summer of Spritz’, with a gin-focus to celebrate World Gin Day; and a Tiki takeover: ‘Everything But a Beach in the week of Manchester Day, celebrating all Manchester has…and the one thing it doesn’t (well, until the new wellbeing resort at Trafford City is built…)
The Agave Spirits Masterclass on 17th May is sure to draw a crowd following Three Little Words’ sell-out Margarita Week. And ‘Drinks on Screen’ will take inspiration from iconic drinks from TV and movies.
