The much-adored Manchester Rum Festival is gearing up for an extraordinary year as it moves to a larger, more spectacular venue for 2024.

After eight years of sell-out-success at various Manchester locations, the annual event is relocating to New Century Hall, the legendary city centre venue that will accommodate even more global rum brands than ever before and take the whole festival experience to the next level.

Promising to be a truly immersive experience, the highly anticipated 2024 festival will take place on World Rum Day – 13th July. As well as hosting an even bigger selection of rum brands from all over the world, this year’s event will also boast Caribbean food, calypso-inspired DJ sets, tastings galore and general good vibes! This year, the great-value tickets will get you access to the festival as well as the opportunity to try new to market expressions from over 40 incredible rum brands, and the opportunity to buy your favourite bottles.

As always, rum lovers can look forward to tasting a wide variety of rums from all over the world, engaging with master distillers, experts and brands and enjoying the vibrant, tropical-themed atmosphere and fun that the festival has become famous for.

This year, a number of prestigious rum brands will be making their festival debut, including Bristol Classic, a rum firm that produces limited quantity rums from countries including Guyana and Mauritius, as well as Trinidad and the Dominican Republic, Ron Carúpano, a Venezuelan brand with the only female Master Blender in the country, Rhum Depaz from the volcanic terroir of Martinique in the Caribbean and Don Q from sunny Puerto Rico. The refreshing Caribbean lager, Carib, will also be heading to Manchester for the first time!

Other notable brand’s making an appearance at the festival include Chairman’s Reserve, Pusser’s, Worthy Park, Cockspur, Damoiseau, Don Papa, Ninefold and Aluna, plus Manchester-based One-Eyed Rebel from the Spirit of Manchester Distillery.

As always, food will be provided by the wonderful Nyammin’, which makes authentic Caribbean cuisine – including their world-famous Rum Cake. The tunes will come from the decks of DJ Dom, who will be keeping the party going all day.

London Essence will be the official mixer partner for 2024, bringing their distinctive drinks – including elegant tonics, crafted sodas and lemonades, and delicious gingers – to the festival.

Festival founder and rum expert, Dave Marsland, said: “This year, we are expecting the best Manchester Rum Festival yet as we relocate to a bigger, better, bolder venue. New Century Hall is absolutely iconic and we can’t wait to party all day with more rum brands and more experiences than ever before. Guests can really get set for an incredible day!

“The event really has gone from strength to strength and we are one of the biggest rum festivals in the country outside London. As always, I’d recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.”
