This Spring, The Met in Bury introduce LOUD Cabaret, a new queer cabaret night adding some magic and sparkle to your Thursday nights, beginning at 8pm on 18 April and continuing monthly.
Presented in association with Dibby Theatre the award-winning LGBTQ+ national touring theatre company from Greater Manchester, LOUD Cabaret showcases the most fabulous rising queer stars from across Bury and beyond, staged in the fabulous surrounding of Bury’s arts hub The Met.
Hosted in inimitable style by Dibby’s Co-Director Nathaniel Hall, HIV activist and well known for starring in It’s a Sin, the highly acclaimed Channel 4 drama, LOUD throws open its doors at The Met on Thursday 18 April, with a line-up of truly fabulous performances from:
Hunter Millington, working class, northern, transgender performance maker, creative producer and drag king.
Minute Taker, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, inspired by artists such as Kate Bush, the Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode. With three critically acclaimed albums to his name, his song After the Rain (featuring Bright Light Bright Light) has been played on BBC Radio
mandla rae is a queer Zimbabwean writer, performer and curator. mandla’s work typically explores an intersectional existence enforced on the artists’ body as a result of the world we live in.
Music, comedy and more, and of course The Met will also be serving up an excellent range of beverages and snacks in the glamorous surroundings of its famous Derby Hall.
