On Sunday 31 May 11am–3pm, the Whitworth will host Bloomtown’s finale, a day of art, music and movement throughout the art garden and park celebrating spring.
All the activities are free to attend and include badge and jewellery making, willow weaving, storytelling, free books, bike rides, drumming circles and choir performances.
The National Trust has teamed up with Read Manchester and Nosy Crow to give out free books at the finale as part of the National Year of Reading 2026.

Bee Pedal Ready are throwing a Pedal Party for children and families at the finale – the culmination of a series of bike rides through blossom-lined routes all over Greater Manchester during the festival. Bring a bike or borrow one for free to decorate with blossom and cycle through the park.
Youth Elements will lead drop-in drumming, dance and capoeira throughout the day, and the celebration will conclude with performances by the Socialites Choir in the art garden at 2pm and 2.40pm.
Kelda Savage, Cultural Programme Project Manager at the National Trust’s Greater Manchester Urban Team, said
“Every year as Bloomtown returns, more and more people are celebrating blossom season. This year’s festival has been huge with so many partners working together on blossom events over the 10 weeks. The finale will have a bit of everything, with music, movement, things to make and do and it will be really joyful.”
