Long-standing city-centre favourite The Oast House has unveiled a major new look, complete with a revamped beer garden, fresh rotisserie chicken menu and an expanded daily live music line-up. The much-loved bar will relaunch with a huge Bank Holiday House Party on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May, featuring two very special House Guests.
To keep guests refreshed while the party goes on, the Oast team will crack open a full tank of fresh Staropramen on Saturday 23 May, giving away free pints to the first 450 guests. That evening, Manchester legend Mike Joyce of The Smiths will take to the decks with a special DJ set, before Woody from indie-pop band Bastille closes out the Bank Holiday celebrations on Sunday 24 May with a suitably high-energy DJ set.

The Manchester sunshine is also expected to make a rare guest appearance across the weekend, with temperatures forecast to top 20 degrees. Guests can cool down with The Oast House’s new alcoholic slushies, launching with a limited-edition Watermelon Cosmo Ice Blast-ille before new specials rotate throughout the summer.
Across the weekend, partygoers can expect live music from midday until midnight, DJ sets, branded merch giveaways and t-shirt canons.
Matching the energy of Oast’s lively crowd, the beer garden has been transformed with a vibrant new look, featuring neon lights, festival flags, brightly coloured bunting and festoon lights ahead of a packed summer of live gigs.
Live music has always been at the heart of The Oast House, and the venue is now launching a brand-new weekly programme, Open House. Running every night of the week, the series will feature everything from Bandeoke and Musical Bingo to Retro Sounds and Oast Acoustic sessions.

The venue’s much-loved free monthly live music festivals will also return under a new name, Oast House Live, taking over the Spinningfields beer garden on the last Saturday of every month. On Bank Holiday weekends, the celebrations will expand into an all-weekend House Party, with more very special House Guests still to be announced throughout the year.
Guests looking to fuel the festivities can tuck into The Oast House’s new menu, centred around 12-hour brined rotisserie chicken served alongside seriously moreish sides including Ziggy Fries tossed in chicken salt and chicken butter, Cheddar & Onion Slaw and Charred Corn on the Cob drenched in house scotch bonnet butter. The house special ‘addictive’ Chicken (T)oastie is not to be missed!
Danny Leach, General Manager at The Oast House said, “What started as a pop-up 14 years ago is now one of the most-loved venues in Manchester. Our guests have been so loyal to us over the years, and we can’t wait to bring them even better live music events, next level food, tank fresh beer and even bigger parties.”
