A Few Scoops Residency at Ramona and The Firehouse

Slow down and warm up with FIRE X ICE, as A Few Scoops heads to the Ramona Winter Village this weekend.

Ramona and The Firehouse, Manchester’s Detroit pizzeria, margarita bar, beer garden, slow fires restaurant and dance venue, will be transformed into the Winter Village from November; creating a sensationally seasonal party destination.

The winter market will see local indie traders popping up throughout the season and from the 11th to the 14th November, and A Few Scoops will take up their debut Ramona residency, starring the affectionately named Dolly, the pink push-bike barlour.

Expect festive favourites and cocktail-inspired ice creams, such as Eggnog Ice Cream, Clementine Sorbet (vegan), and the new Scoops special, the Not So Hot Chocolate, featuring a Christmassy collaboration with Mallow and Marsh.

Barton Square

Following the sweet success of the A Few Scoops x Selfridges pop-up concept, Christmas shoppers can now delight in the deliciousness of cocktail-inspired ice cream at the Trafford Centre’s Barton Square. The new site also boasts a comfortable seating area, so that guests can sit down and take a break from ticking off their gifting lists.

From November through to January 15th, Jolene, Manchester’s favourite pink ice cream tuk-tuk, will call this her new winter home – and from December, shoppers can delight in the Scoops classic flavours, such as Old Fashioned Ice Cream, Espresso Martini Ice Cream, and Bellini Sorbet (vegan), as well as new seasonal specials, Eggnog Ice Cream, Clementine Martini Sorbet (vegan) and the extra festive ‘Not So Hot Chocolate’ – featuring a marvelous collaboration with Mallow and Marsh.

A Few Scoops is a born and bred Manchester business, with all ice creams and sorbets made locally in Sale. When the venture launched in 2019, founder and owner Alanna Atkinson first set out to combine her love of ice cream with her favourite tipples.

Spring 2021 saw the addition of Jolene the pink tuk-tuk and quickly, A Few Scoops became a flavour phenomenon across the North West. After a successful business launch, Alanna soon expanded her business offering through the addition of Dolly the pink push-bike barlour.

A Few Scoops has already seen rapid growth in demand during the spring of 2021 and has secured a roster of pop-ups, such as regular appearances at the General Stores sites and a residency at Manchester’s Biggest Chippy Tea Event at Manchester Food and Drink Festival. August also saw the launch of the A Few Scoops pop-up concept at Selfridges Trafford Foodhall, which proved to be a popular success with Manchester’s shoppers.

Working mum, owner and founder of A Few Scoops, Alanna Atkinson said: “When we started A Few Scoops, we knew we didn’t want a standard ice cream van – we wanted to bring something new and exciting to the market. We think we’ve achieved this with Jolene, and after such an amazing summer of festivals and events, we’re really excited to be delivering such an innovative winter offering. We hope that customers can enjoy A Few Scoops at any of our winter residences, just as much as they’ll enjoy it from the comfort of their sofa.”

A Few Scoops has already worked with popular local brewery, Seven Bro7hers Brewing Co, appeared at the much-anticipated launch of the General Store, Media City and set up shop at this summer’s cricket extravaganza, the Hundred.
