GIANT roaming dinosaurs, prehistoric puppet shows and dino robots are heading to Littleborough Park this weekend (23 – 25 May) for the first of four Dino Fun World events in Greater Manchester.

Throughout the bank holiday weekend, Littleborough Park will be packed with dinosaurs, inflatables, children’s rides and live entertainment for all ages.

And the event will move to Openshaw Park, Bury, from 28 to 31 May before heading to Stubbylee at Bacup on 6 and 7 June and Alex Park, Oldham on 13 and 14 June.

At each venue the prehistoric action begins each day at 11am as young explorers are welcomed by the famous Dino Experts.

They can meet Dr Stone, the fearless dinosaur expert whose experiments don’t always go to plan, Professor Flint, the lovable dinosaur know-it-all whose incredible prehistoric knowledge would impress even the biggest dinosaur fan, and Young Archie, the eager junior lab assistant whose enthusiasm often lands him in comical trouble.

Together, the trio – along with Dr Stone’s mischievous Dino Robot Dog – will introduce visitors to some very special baby dinosaurs during the hugely popular Meet the Babies experience.

Meet the Babies sessions will give families the chance to get up close to baby dinosaurs and their handlers throughout the day, while mini dinosaurs will sing, dance and cause chaos for audiences of all ages during the Prehistoric Puppet Show at 12 noon and 3.50pm.

The stars of the show, however, are undoubtedly the giant roaming dinosaurs. Guests can come face-to-face with Terry the Triceratops and Reggie the Raptor during regular walkabouts, while a giant T-Rex will stomp through the event at 2pm and 4.30pm each day.

For budding palaeontologists, the live Dino Adventure shows at 12.30pm and 3pm will see Dr Stone, Professor Flint and Young Archie conduct exciting experiments, uncover dinosaur secrets and even hatch dinosaur eggs live on stage.

And, alongside the live dinosaur entertainment, visitors can enjoy giant inflatables, children’s rides, fairground favourites, food stalls, sweet treats and ice cream throughout the weekend.

A mini dinosaur museum display will also be open all day for visitors wanting to learn even more about the prehistoric world.

Entry is £3 per person, which includes all-day access to the site and entertainment. Inflatables operate on a token system, with discounted tokens available online in advance, while rides accept both cash and card payments.
