Silent disco is taking over the Arndale next week as part of huge student shopping event

On Thursday 25th September MCR Student Social will hit the city, including a huge silent rave in the middle of Manchester Arndale as well as loads of offers, discounts and freebies in shops, restaurants and leisure venues across the city centre.

Organised by Manchester Arndale and Manchester City Centre Business Improvement District, the annual student shopping event will once again welcome new and returning students to the city.

Here’s what to expect:

MCR Student Social will be buzzing with free entertainment and interactive experiences.

Inside Manchester Arndale, dance at the Silent Disco in Exchange Court (outside Next). Hosted by the Super Star MCs, expect shout-outs, dance challenges and chances to win goodies.

Sit for a special portrait you can display in your new student digs. Find the Arndale’s artistic illustrator outside Lego on the lower mall.

Get your song requests ready and keep an eye out for the Party Tuk Tuk, roaming on the mall and packed with giveaways. Plus, head to Halle Place for a live DJ set.

Food and Drink Zone:
Head to the Food and Drink Zone on Market Street for treats from Barburrito, Creams, Franco Manca and Popeyes, plus performances from GFF Damian Dance Studio, and over to Exchange Square forPapa Johns and Tango.
