The Ivy Collection has today revealed details of its newly refurbished rooftop restaurant and bar, set to open at The Ivy Spinningfields Brasserie, Manchester, later this month.

Already a popular destination for Manchester locals and celebrities alike, the extensive redesign introduces an elevated new look and feel across the rooftop, creating three new and distinct destinations for dining, drinks and celebrations high above the city.

Officially opening on Friday 19th June, the refurbished rooftop has been designed to make the most of the summer season and beyond, featuring a retractable roof that allows guests to enjoy the rooftop experience year-round, whatever the Manchester weather.

At the heart of the transformation is the new rooftop bar – name to be revealed – replacing the former Skylight Terrace. The new bar concept will feature 47 covers alongside striking interiors inspired by Manchester’s industrial heritage, with worker bee motifs woven throughout the design as a nod to the city’s identity.

Alongside the new bar sits The Ivy on the Roof restaurant area, which has also undergone a design refresh with updated interiors inspired by botanical influences and layered textures, creating an elegant rooftop escape in the heart of the city.

To accompany the updated setting, the rooftop menu has also been completely reinvented, featuring globally inspired flavours and luxury ingredients, designed for sharing, socialising and leisurely summer dining.
Introducing an entirely new addition to the rooftop, The Peacock Room will offer an exclusive private dining and events space for up to 28 guests. Designed to transition effortlessly from intimate dining occasions to luxe late-night gatherings, the space will also transform into a sophisticated speakeasy-style drinks destination with live DJ entertainment.

Lisa Biard, General Manager at The Ivy Spinningfields Brasserie, said: “Manchester has always made the most of every moment of sunshine, so unveiling our newly refurbished rooftop ahead of the summer season felt only natural.

“We’ve created a completely reimagined rooftop experience that captures the best of outdoor dining and drinking while introducing exciting new spaces for guests to discover. The retractable roof offers the comfort and flexibility to enjoy it year-round – meaning guests can settle in for long lunches, sunset cocktails and late-night dinners with the skyline as their backdrop, whatever the weather decides to do.”
