A dispersal order is in place following a stabbing in Piccadilly Gardens this evening
A male in his 20’s has been taken to hospital however injuries aren’t believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
A 22-year-old man has arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. A 24-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of affray. Both remain in custody for questioning.
A dispersal order is in place and it will remain until 08.40am on Friday 19 June
Officers will be in the area to provide reassurance to the community as they continue their investigation into the circumstances which has led to this incident.
