Restaurant and bar group, Drake & Morgan, is set to open The Anthologist this summer, its second in Manchester’s city centre and 23rd site in the UK.

The 6,000 square foot, 185-cover bar and restaurant will be located at One St Peter’s Square. The development offers 271,000 sq ft of office space in Manchester’s central business district, and is part of a £185 million development of the area.

Designed by Fusion Design and Architecture Ltd, the team behind all of Drake & Morgan’s bars and restaurants, The Anthologist will showcase the group’s signature features – a large statement bar, a mix of traditional dining and lounge seating, banquettes and booths as well as distinctive dining and lounge areas.

The all-day drinking and dining destination will trade seven days a week for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner; offering a choice of seasonal dishes, flatbreads and sharing boards as well as small plates, gourmet sandwiches and burgers.

An extensive wine list sits alongside premium spirits, craft beers and ciders and an evolving cocktail list features contemporary as well as classic creations characterised by ingredients such as seasonal berries, herbs, vegetables and flowers. An extended, innovative range of zero proof concoctions including super skinnies coming in at under 50 calories, will also be available.

Jillian MacLean, Managing Director, Drake & Morgan comments:

“I’m delighted to be launching our second site in Manchester on the back of The Refinery in Spinningfields. Manchester is a modern and vibrant city that Drake & Morgan loves being a part of, and we are confident that The Anthologist will provide the city with a refreshingly independent bar that comes with a few new exciting additions for our lovely customers”.
