The picnic is a summer staple for Brits looking for an escape to the great outdoors while the clouds vacate the skies for that one fleeting moment, where everything feels perfect.
This summer, locals in Manchester are going to be treated to something even more special, a pop-up urban picnic themed around amazing summer dishes from Vietnam. Deliveroo is launching the Pho Picnic at Manchester’s Spinningfields on June 28.
The Picnic Pop-Up will launch next week, giving locals access to amazing free food from Manchester favourite Pho, the garden will boast hanging lanterns, chill out areas, a living plant wall and traditional parasols, blankets and soft cushions.
Libby Andrews, Marketing Director at Pho said “While we specialise in pho noodle soup, so much of our menu is perfect for warm summer days – plus it’s super healthy. We want to give Manchester the chance to taste our fresh summer rolls and spicy, zingy Vietnamese salads for themselves. Something a bit different for picnicking this year.”
Joe Groves at Deliveroo said “We wanted to show Brits that they don’t have to settle for stale cheese, warm strawberries and melted ice lollies when picnicking this summer. The pop-up picnic will offer a selection of amazing Vietnamese summer bites for Manchester to enjoy in the sunshine”.
Summer Pho will also be offering a picnic bundle for hungry Brits, available exclusively on Deliveroo. Priced at £40 with a ‘regular’ and ‘vegan’ options, the spectacular meal will consist of tasty Vietnamese street food to share including fresh summer rolls, crispy spring rolls, crunchy salads, pork & lemongrass meatballs, loads of dipping sauces and more – enough to keep groups of friends satisfied all day long when visiting the park.
