Four Sale Sharks academy graduates are set to feature for England Under-18s during the tour of South Africa this month.
Sam Moore, Arron Reed, Kieran Wilkinson and Cameron Redpath were all named in the England Under-18 squad earlier last month.
All four of the academy players were involved in the finals day last February and are now well placed to represent the country during the 15-day tour of South Africa.
The U18’s play France on the 11th August,Wales on the 15th and South Africa on the 19th of August.
Speaking about the four player’s inclusions, Academy Manager Brendan Thomas said: “I’m happy that these four have been called up to the tour to South Africa this August. Going on tour to South Africa will help with their development as it will be a physical test, playing against one of the best age-group teams in the world in a highly competitive environment.
“It’s a great honour for them and the club for them to be called up. Huge credit must go to the academy coaches, with particular praise to Warren Spragg, Neil Briggs and Noel Speed, and to their own clubs and schools for the part they have played in their development.”
