Judges at the Court of Appeal have reserved judgement in the case of Lucy Letby.

The panel of three say they will give their decision at a later date.

The media have been constrained by what they can report due to a a retrial in June on the one remaining charge from the original trial at Manchester Crown Court on which the jury could not decide.

The neonatal nurse was convicted of murdering seven babies and attempting to murder six more while she was working as a band 5 nurse on the neonatal unit of the Countess of Chester Hospital, and received a whole-life sentence for each of the fourteen counts she was convicted of.
