The final member of a gang, who were attempting to expand their criminal network internationally, and were taken down when messages from their encrypted mobile phones were infiltrated has been jailed
Experts believe this to be one of the largest drugs and firearms trafficking operations ever encountered in the UK.
Today the final member, Adrian Gonzalez has been jailed for 25 years.
Gonzalez of City Road East, pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to supply cocaine, MDMA and amphetamine.
In total, the men have been jailed for almost 200 years following a meticulous investigation by GMP which experts believe is one of the largest drugs and firearms trafficking operations ever encountered in the UK.
