This year’s Greater Manchester Sports Awards sponsored by ANS is taking place on Friday 7th November at the Point, Emirates Old Trafford.

The event will see the winners from across all 10 local authorities come together to determine the winners for Greater Manchester.

A total of seventy nominees will be attending, spread over seven categories recognising excellence in clubs, coaches volunteers, athletes and those who sport and physical activity has made an impact on their lives.

The nominees have already been celebrated, winning their category at borough level in ceremonies in Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.

GreaterSport board member and North West Tonight TV presenter, Roger Johnson will host the celebratory event and former Great Britain 400m Olympian Iwan Thomas MBE will be guest speaker on the night.

Iwan holds an Olympic Silver Medal, as well as Gold Medals at both the Commonwealth Games and World Championships.
