The Coffee House Stockport will be located in the former Clintons store, in the square of Merseyway Shopping Centre, opposite Primark.

The Coffee House started trading in 2011 in the small Cheshire village of Lymm, by two brothers, Chris and Stephen, who set out to change the way people eat, drink and relax in their local communities.

Each of their stores feature a signature interior design, with exclusive wall murals that pay homage to each location. The Stockport store will have a bespoke wooden counter, handmade by the brothers’ father, industrial-style furnishings, ambient lighting and comfortable seating for up to 80 people, to create a modern and relaxing environment. It will also have some covered outdoor seating for customers to enjoy a coffee in the fresh air and if they wish to bring their four legged friends along.

Victoria Nichol, Centre Manager at Merseyway Shopping Centre said “There have been so many exciting new openings across Stockport Town Centre and we’re thrilled The Coffee House has chosen Merseyway as its latest location. Bringing a new lunch and coffee spot into our town, we’re confident The Coffee House will be popular amongst our shoppers.

In their Warrington based central production facility, they produce their speciality coffee in a state of the art Roastery, creating a medium roasted and well-rounded blend. As well as coffee, they also have a variety of teas, hot chocolates, milkshakes and iced drinks. They make their own food too; from breakfast muffins, toasties, paninis and wraps, to sandwiches, salads, and a delicious range of homemade cakes and pastries, including their best selling teacakes! Chris Shelmerdine from the Coffee House added: “We are delighted to be opening a store in Stockport; with it’s warm community feel, it’s a town we have aspired to open a store in for some time now! We can’t wait to open our doors to the community very soon and offer a really nice environment for people to relax and spend time with friends and family.”

This will be the independent chain’s eighteenth store across the North West, having opened in Macclesfield, Bury and Kirkby earlier this year.

Cllr Colin MacAlister, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council, said: “The Coffee House will be a fantastic addition to Merseyway and I wish them every success. Businesses are seeing Stockport as a prime location, thanks to our ambitious regeneration plans and our reputation as a great place to live, work, play and connect.”

The Coffee House will be open from 8am-6pm, Monday to Saturday and 9am-5pm on Sundays. You can buy their roasted to order coffee online and learn more about The Coffee House here as well as see the job vacancies on their careers page.
