On Sunday, June 16th, The Martlet Kitchen – which is set within the walls of the stunning Rochdale Town Hall – is turning up the heat with an unforgettable Father’s Day Feast – and trust us, this isn’t your average roast…
From 12pm to 4pm, families can dig into The Martlet’s much loved three course Sunday Lunch Menu – with two mega-meaty additions courtesy of the venue’s crack team of chefs, headed up by local culinary luminary, Darren Parkinson.
As always with The Martlet, each mouth-watering dish is a blend of local ingredients, traditional flavours and contemporary flair. The Sunday Lunch menu has three courses for £30, and the two limited edition plates, created especially for Father’s Day, are:
Tomahawk Rib Eye for Two – The king of steaks, carved for sharing! This juicy beast for two is served up with the full roast dinner works; hasselback & mashed potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, honey-glazed carrots, braised red cabbage, rich gravy – and fluffy, crunchy Yorkshire puds you could build a house with. A wonder to behold! (£20 supplement).
The Lancashire Mixed Grill – Local Lancs legends on one plate; Bury black pudding, local sausages, H.W. Frost’s lamb chops, aged rump steak, succulent chicken thigh – all topped with a Denshaw fried egg.
The critically-acclaimed Greater Manchester venue, which is gaining a reputation for excellence with the local foodie community – is set within the breathtaking confines of the recently restored Rochdale Town Hall – a grade 1 listed Victorian-Gothic masterpiece that is world-renowned as a marker of incredible British architecture, it has even been featured on iconic TV shows such as Peaky Blinders. With its sweeping staircases, wood-panelled walls and ornate features, it provides the very grandest backdrop to luxe Father’s Day dining.
