Award-winning affordable homes provider Plumlife has launched a brand new development of affordable homes in Bury – The Larks at Radcliffe.
The Larks is a stylish collection of 14 two and three bedroom homes with superb eco-features, which offer local people the chance to get onto the property ladder.
Homes are available for Shared Ownership, a government-backed scheme which provides local people with an affordable way to buy a new home. The buyer purchases a share of the new home (usually between 35 and 75 per cent) and pays a small rent on the remaining part until they can take further shares to own the home outright.
Lisa Westerman, group head of sales at Plumlife, said: “With recent research showing that it can take up to eight years for the average first time buyer to save a deposit, homes at The Larks are ideal for first-time buyers and families who are looking to get onto the property ladder. Shared Ownership offers low deposits at five per cent of the share purchased and has many benefits – it puts home ownership within reach and can benefit a variety of people from first time buyers to single people, retired people and families.
“The eligibility criteria includes total household income at £80, 000 a year or less and a local link to the area. If you think Shared Ownership might be right for you, come and talk to us to see how we can help.”
The Larks is situated in the Radcliffe area of Bury. Near both urban living and countryside, it has lots of local amenities including Asda, Tesco Express, the Post Office, Radcliffe Medical Practice and Spring Lane Dental Practice. There are also several recommended local schools including Radcliffe Primary, St Mary’s RC Primary and St John’s Primary.
A short distance from the development is Springwater Park, whilst Heaton Park, a 600 acre local nature reserve, is less than four miles away giving you plenty of quiet green spaces. Transport links are also excellent with the M60 and M66 nearby, Radcliffe Metrolink stop and Blackburn Street bus stop on the doorstep.
Three house types are on offer – the two bedroom Sherwood and three bedroom Leighfield and Dalby homes.
The Sherwood starts at £50,033 for a 35 per cent share. The Leighfield starts at £54,408 for a 35 per cent share and the Dalby at £54,233 for a 35 per cent share.
