MediaCityUK General Store announce permanent residence from freshly made, hand cut sandwich specialists SNDWCH launching 1st April.

General Store has welcomed local butty buffs SNDWCH, as a new permanent addition to their MediaCityUK store.

SNDWCH, who began life producing SOOP from a kitchen table in Ancoats, started making their freshly made, hand cut sandwiches during COVID, and have quickly grown since becoming General Store’s main sandwich supplier. Their fresh, pre-packaged sarnies have been a hit with General Stores customers having graced the store’s refrigerators since 2019.

Now, the brand is taking up residency with their first fresh sandwich counter offering at MediaCityUK where they’re open seven days a week serving up brilliant butties including an excellent plant-based offering.

SNDWCH are passionate about serving up sarnies made from the finest, local (where possible) ingredients to create gorgeous, fresh rustic butties bursting with flavour.  At MediaCityUK the team will be operating their first SNDWCH counter where customers can order from specials like Chicken Tikka & Onion Bhaji, or create their own choosing from fresh bloomers, baguettes or bagels and a massive range of fillings.

The SNDWCH team are also excited to bring a huge range of plant-based buttie options to MCUK. For those tired of humus and falafel, SNDWCH offers plant based cheese, chicken, sausage and even bacon bits as well as several varieties of vegan mayo. Breakfast butties are also on offer, and customers can choose from free-range egg omelette, prime-back bacon, local sausage, or plant-based sausage/bacon as their filling.

Any hot drink can also be added on to save 15% of the total price.

General Store and SNDWCH are building on a strong, long standing partnership, which began via a previous food business.

Tom Smith, Manager at MediaCityUK General Store commented, “We’re really excited to be collaborating with SNDWCH for this exciting evolution of our relationship with them. Their beautiful butties have been so popular with our customers we know that their first fresh sandwich counter will be a huge hit in MediaCityUK.”

Alex Markham of SNDWCH added, “General Store have been with SNDWCH since the very start, so to have our very own permanent home with them feels like a real full circle moment. It’s a natural progression in our relationship with Store Group, who have been fundamental in the growth of our business. We can’t thank them enough for their support and we look forward to serving the MediaCityUK community!”
