Significant delays are expected this weekend on the A57 at Mottram Moor with weekend roadworks
As part of our A57 Link Roads scheme,The National Highways Agency is carrying out important work on Mottram Moor over two weekends in March.
This includes installing utilities and building a new plant crossing, which will help move construction materials safely and efficiently across the A57.
To keep the road open and reduce disruption, temporary traffic lights will be in place for two weekends from:
7pm Friday 13 March – 6am Monday 16 March
7pm Friday 20 March – 6am Monday 23 March
Drivers will pass through the temporary lights in a single file system in both directions for safety.
Significant delays are expected and they are strongly urging non-local drivers to use alternative routes between Manchester and Sheffield.
