A 51 year old women was killed this morning in a crash on the eastbound, M63 this morning.
The accident involving a number of vehicles happened between Junction 22-23 around 10.45
The eastbound carriageway has been closed and is likely to remain closed over the rush hour period, while emergency services work at the scene.
Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area.
The women came from the Humberside area, West Yorkshire Police have said.
A 47 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving.
