Manchester Vegan WinterFest features the latest gourmet vegan cheeses, vegan hotdogs, as well as an array of other vegan food, beauty products and fashion. There are lots of opportunities to try before you buy, and sample the latest foods. You can also bathe vegan too – with a variety of deliciously scented soaps and handmade bath bombs from the Iuvo skincare range.

It is set to be an exciting Christmas vegan shopping experience. Whether you have got some vegan friends to buy presents for, fancy trying some festive vegan food or are fed up with buying the usual gifts and are looking for something that’s plastic-free, this event will have everything you need to create the perfect cruelty-free Christmas.

There is something for everyone – with lots of cool children’s activities to amuse the little ones. And if your teenager is into the latest trends they can check out cool designer vegan labels such as Viva La Vegan and Wear Your Voice Plus there’s a massive range of gifts and goodies including candles, jewellery, and even treats for animals. It’s also a great place to shop if you’re looking to go plastic-free.

If you are looking to get more in-depth, the festival also features useful talks on nutrition and the vegan lifestyle as well as some inspiring, fun cookery demos to get you started.

Festival Organiser Victoria Bryceson says, “Manchester Vegan WinterFest is set to be a fantastic day out whether you’re vegetarian, vegan or simply vegan-curious. The idea behind the festival is to educate and inform everyone about the vegan lifestyle and offer support to anybody who would like it. We have everything an aspiring vegan could possibly need and so much more. Our festival has a welcoming, friendly atmosphere and makes a fun, affordable day out for families. It’s also a nice social atmosphere and makes a great place to make new friends.”

“My aim is to provide a one-stop-shop for vegan essentials as well as naughty fun treats that you might not be able to find in the shops such as Bakewell tarts, scones, Danish pastries, so people can come along to the festival and find all the products they need easily, under one roof.”

The event also helps local homeless people, whilst helping reduce food waste at the same time. Stallholders are asked to donate any surplus food at the end of the festival, and a group of volunteers distributes it to homeless people after the event, providing a hot meal as well as cold dishes.

Manchester Vegan WinterFest takes place on Today from 10:30 to 16:30 at Sachas Hotel. Entry is from just £4 (under 16’s free) and this includes entry to all areas and activities. Standard tickets are purchased at the door on the day.
