Join Kimpton Clocktower Hotel for the ultimate alternative Queen’s Jubilee Street Party.

Whilst friends and family across the UK dust off the deck chairs and prep the cucumber sandwiches, Kimpton Clocktower Hotel are throwing their own street party celebration with a difference. A host of Manchester’s DJs and bands will descend onto The Refuge’s terrace on Friday 3rd June, to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in royal style.

Move over plastic garden chairs and soggy sausage rolls and enter British party food with a Refuge twist. There’s a signature ‘The Crown Jewel’ cocktail upon arrival, along with live music and more.

Curated by The Refuge team, partygoers can expect an array of street party nibbles including coronation chicken or jackfruit tacos, pork and kimchi sausage rolls, and mushroom and truffle vol-au-vents. There’ll be Refuge takes on classical British cakes including a red, white and blue Battenberg, plus a cocktail menu fit for the queen, including ‘The Crown Jewel’ made with Earl Grey tea, Beefeater gin, lavender and lemon, topped with fizz.

In true Refuge style, the Jubilee Street Party will showcase a diverse range of up-and-coming talent alongside established names from around Manchester playing music with a tongue-in-cheek nod to the royal family from 1-10pm.

Speaking on the Jubilee Street Party announcement, General Manager of Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Johan Scheepers said, “The Jubilee weekend is a time to come together and celebrate as only we know how – with great food, fabulous drinks, non-stop music, and of course riotous fun! Our outdoor venue space ‘The Terrace’ was originally the Waterhouse Way Street, so we couldn’t resist the opportunity to host our own take on a Jubilee Street Party. Forget Pimm’s and paper plates, this will be a street party to remember!”

Kimpton Clocktower Hotel’s Jubilee Street Party will be hosted  on The Refuge terrace, on Friday 3rd June from 1-10pm. The event is restricted to ticket holders only from1-5pm, with street party nibbles served from 1.3-3pm. Tickets are priced at £25 (including entry, street food nibbles (while stocks last) and a signature cocktail) and can be purchased here.

Entry will be open to walk-ins free of charge from 5pm onwards.
