Kimpton Clocktower Hotel is announcing a new tailormade music concierge service for guests staying at the Manchester hotel, launching in celebration of Record Store Day.
From Saturday 23 April, guests will be able to choose the perfect soundtrack to their stay from an eclectic mix of genres from classic Rock through to ambient House music, all played on vinyl from the comfort of your room.
Each year, Record Store Day sees over 260 independent record shops across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Exclusive vinyls are created for release, with artist performances and events curated throughout the UK to mark the occasion. Kimpton Clocktower Hotel’s personalised music concierge service will be brought to life in partnership with Clampdown Records, an independent vinyl record shop and expert stockists of new and used vinyls located in the heart of Manchester’s city centre, in celebration of Manchester’s thriving record stores and wider music heritage.
Speaking on the launch of the music concierge service, Kimpton Clocktower Hotel’s General Manager, General Manager of Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, Johan Scheepers said, “Music lies at the very heart of the Kimpton brand and Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in particular, drawing on the musical heritage ingrained within Greater Manchester as well as celebrating new and emerging talent. From our legendary ‘Come As You Are Weekenders’ to our live DJs sets each weekend, music continues to play a central role within both the hotel and Refuge Bar and Restaurant.
We are excited to be able to offer a bespoke music concierge service to guests to not only celebrate our musical heritage and create that all important personal experience for every stay, but to continue to support Manchester’s much-loved independent record stores such as Clampdown Records.”
