Manchester is one of the most popular cities in the UK to visit. There are dozens of attractions to visit and things to see when visiting the great city, but it can be hard picking out the best. That’s why we’ve made a short list of some of the best things to see and do in Manchester.

Manchester235 Casino

Manchester235 is a brick-and-mortar casino venue and arguably one of the best in the city. The entire venue acts as an entertainment complex, offering casino activities like slots and table games, as well as a dedicated poker table. If that’s not enough, there are several bars where you can enjoy having drinks with friends, and the hugely popular James Martin Manchester restaurant which offers a great selection of plates and dishes to enjoy after a long night of gambling or drinks. If you don’t feel like travelling all the way to Manchester for some gambling, you can also do so online. The website sister-sites.co.uk offers an overview of UK online casinos but bear in mind that you most likely won’t find any site with a Manchester theme.

Old Trafford

Visit the Old Trafford, a football stadium located in Old Trafford just outside the main city. The stadium is the home of Manchester United and can seat just over 74,000 people. It’s the second-largest football stadium in the UK after Wembley Stadium and has been used for other events excluding football. This includes the various rugby games and competitions, as well as concerts from the likes of Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, and so many others. If you’re interested, you can go on a tour of the stadium where you can sit in the manager’s seat, walk through the players’ tunnel, check out the dressing rooms, and so much more.

Museums And Art Galleries

Manchester is a big city with a long history, and there are dozens of museums and art galleries to visit. Each offers a unique look into the city’s history and culture, and they should be checked out when possible. Some of the most popular sites to visit include the National Football Museum, the Science and Industry Museum, the Manchester Art Gallery, the Manchester Museum, and the Imperial War Museum North. There are countless others, but we believe these are the best to check out depending on your interests.

Check Out The Fish

If you’re visiting with family, a good idea may be to take them to the Blue Planet Aquarium which is home to Europe’s largest collection of sharks, featuring well over 100 sharks. There’s also the Sea Life Manchester aquarium where you can get up-close and personal with dozens of different species including sharks, jellyfish, sea turtles, and so much more. Both aquariums are well worth visiting and will offer fun for the entire family.

Go Shopping At The Trafford Centre

The Trafford Centre is a huge shopping centre located just outside of the main city. The centre is home to dozens of popular shops including Selfridges, Primark, Khaadi, Victoria’s Secret, Pull & Bear, Stradivarius, and so many others. It’s also home to more than 60 restaurants, and you can visit the Odeon IMAX cinema to catch up on the latest films. What’s not to like?

These are just some of the exciting things you can do in Manchester. There’s more, a lot more, but if you’re new to the city we believe this is what you should be trying out.
