The Famous Crown recently reopened its doors following a stunning £470k investment from independent pub operators Punch Pubs & Co. New Management Partner Dionne Blackshaw is already playing a prominent role within the community by ensuring the pub is at its very heart.
Punch’s investment has transformed the classic pub which sits on Didsbury’s busy high street. Visitors can expect a luxurious refurbishment centred around its standout central bar area with ample Chesterfield-style booths and bench seating for socialising with a drink or two.
The makeover includes an enhanced dining experience together with the launch of a new menu which includes quintessential British classics like a finely finished beef and ale pie and a Sunday Roast.
Experienced Management Partner Dionne is focused on building a strong reputation and reconnecting with the community. This will begin with a fabulous festive sing-along with food in aid of Didsbury Good Neighbours (DGN), who provide befriending opportunities and events for older members of the community.
Speaking ahead of the event which is happening from 9:30pm on Thursday 15th December, she said, “It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to host the DGN choir at the pub and help to raise awareness of their great work. I can’t wait to bring everyone together, sing carols and share festive cheer across Didsbury high street.”
