To welcome the summer in style, The Lowry Hotel has created two new offerings for their guests including a new sharing small plates menu, plus signature cocktails, and a ‘Chef’s Special’ menu which offers two courses and a bottle of wine for two for £59.

Served in the stylish Lowry Lounge & Bar, the new small plates menu offers a selection of three tapas style plates for £20 – a price point that welcomes the experience of both quality and casual dining in five-star surroundings.

Guests can enjoy breaded boneless thighs served with Cola BBQ dipping sauce, fritto misto with charred lime and a creamy tomato Aurora sauce, lamb koftas paired with flat breads, red onion and a fresh & zesty coriander salad, plus baby roasted chorizo with Romesco sauce and crispy onions – and more.

To accompany the latest dishes, a new Signature Cocktail menu has also been introduced at the bar to celebrate beautiful people and destinations, inspired by hotel guests from all corners of the world.

Emerald Isle mixes Jameson, Midori, pineapple juice, apple puree, lemon juice and caramel syrup, The Manchester Mule, a concoction of Decorrum rum, honey, (straight from the hotel’s beehives at The Bee Centre), lemon juice, topped with ginger beer, to Sunsets in Seville, a delicious combination of orange gin, Grand Marnier and watermelon juice.

The hotel’s restaurant, The River Restaurant, has also launched a new ‘Chefs Choice’ menu. Previously available exclusively to hotel guests, the new menu now offers two courses and a bottle of wine for two for £59 – perfect for early evening and pre-theatre dining.

Guests can enjoy 40C trout served with caviar, dill and butter, pesto risotto with sundried tomato arancini, sugar snap peas with prosciutto crisp and ‘fat chips’ as sides, plus a coconut bavarois served with compressed pineapple, mint and pinÞa colada sorbet – a fruity summer taste on a panna cotta.

F&B Manager, Emma Walker at The Lowry Hotel said: “The summer small plates menu is a great new addition to the Lowry Lounge & Bar.

“The new casual dining menu welcomes sharing and socialising, a less formal and new concept for the hotel.”
