Get ready to raise your glasses (and copitas!) at Manchester’s first-ever Mezcal and Tequila Festival next weekend!
Bringing the vibrant spirit of Mexico to Manchester, the event on Saturday 14 September promises an unforgettable celebration of two of Mexico’s most iconic exports: mezcal and tequila.
Offering Mancunians the chance to explore and indulge (responsibly!) in a curated selection of more than 80 smoky mezcals and premium tequilas, Copita Mezcal and Tequila Festival will transform Manchester Cathedral into a massive agave spirits tasting floor.
Unlike similar events there’s no token system in place with all sampling included, and all from your very own limited edition clay copita (included in the ticket price).Tasting sessions last three and a half hours and can be booked to start at 12.30pm or 5.15pm.
And for those who want to continue the party, head to Crazy Pedros where discounted drinks are on offer for all Copita ticket holders.
Colin Campbell, one of Copita’s co-founders, said: “With less than two weeks to go until we bring Copita to Manchester, our excitement is through the roof! Mezcal and tequila are more than just drinks – they’re a reflection of Mexican culture and tradition, and we’re thrilled to present a truly exceptional selection of agave spirits. Alongside tastings, we’ve also lined up some fantastic street food and unique shopping, so we’re confident everyone who joins us will have a great time.”
Tickets cost £35 per session and can be purchased here.
Sessions last three and a half hours and will take place from 12.30pm – 4pm & 5.15pm – 8.45pm.
Event address: Manchester Cathedral, Victoria Street, Manchester, M3 1SX.
