Awarded Visit England’s ‘We’re Good To Go’ accreditation when it re-opened back in August, the UK’s longest indoor snow slope, Chill Factore, has proved once again it is’ committed to prioritising guest satisfaction and safety with the results of its latest survey.

Able to offer its much-loved core activities – Lift Passes, Lessons and Snow Fun – albeit, with some adjustments, the Manchester snow slope has increased overall guest satisfaction across its activities by +14% YoY, whilst introducing new guidelines that ensure the safety of all team members and guests.

“We really are thrilled to see guests back on our slopes all carefully following the new safety measures, whilst evidently still having a brilliant day out.

We’re not at capacity yet, so want to continue to encourage snow fans to return to our 180m slope, especially as we’re increasing the activities on offer. The Government has announced a new ‘rule of six’ policy so we’re excited to launch a new lesson format for groups of six, which will allow adults and children in small groups to come and learn a new skill alongside our expert instructors!”

Since reopening, the centre has installed protective screens at the main guest reception and kit collection points, has numerous sanitising stations, and requires that all staff and guests wear a face covering when in the building and on the slope.

In addition to this, hired kit, including skis, snowboards, boots and helmets are subject to thorough sanitising and quarantine measures between each use, using an anti-viral fogging machine which eliminates airborne viruses on contact, and all guests are required to pre-book online.

Despite these changes, the Chill Factore team have succeeded in ensuring guests feel safe and reassured at all times (average survey score across all activities: 4.7/5), and confident that the measures go far enough in protecting them from COVID-19 (average survey score across all activities: 8.8/10).

“It’s really important to us that guests feel safe visiting the slope and the team feel safe coming to work, which is why we’ve remained flexible and continually adapted our activities to comply with Government guidelines.

These phenomenal satisfaction results are also a testament to our amazing Chill Factore team. They have re-trained in all areas to comply with new regulations, and still go above and beyond to ensure all guests have a great time – I couldn’t be prouder!”
