Get an authentic flavour of the festival of Diwali with the new lunch menu at Delhi House Café, situated at Manchester’s Corn Exchange.

Available every day in the run-up to Diwali 2020, this fantastic lunchtime feast offer allows households and support bubbles to enjoy a starter, main, side and drink for just £10.95.

What’s more, from 1st November the restaurant will be fully decorated to celebrate the Indian festival of lights bringing the festive season to Manchester.

The Delhi House Cafe Diwali Menu includes a selection of some of the best dishes from the restaurant’s full menu.

Spectacular starters include Moong-lette a vegan omelette with mint chutney and shredded radish, Moong Dal fritters made with soaked lentils and secret spices and Dahi Poori; whole wheat puffs stuffed with chickpea and potato and topped with tamarind, mint and sweet yoghurt.

Then for a magnificent main, choose from Chicken Ghee Roast, buttery-creamy Dal Makhni, Changezi Chicken (chicken pieces in a brown onion and buttermilk spiced curry) and vegan Maggi Missal Pav – lemon pickle sprouted beans in a soupy tomato curry topped with maggi noodles. Diners can pair their choice with steamed rice or a garlic buttery naan.

The set menu also features a choice of soft drink, including the house special of Masala Coke for those looking to try something a little different.

For those who still have room after their fantastic feast, the restaurant’s Diwali special menu includes tantalising sweet options like the Motichoor Ladoo Cheesecake, made with one of India’s favourite delicacies. It is a festival after all!

Delhi House Café is the latest edition to the Corn Exchange and has had rave reviews since opening, including a glowing write-up from The Guardian’s Jay Raynor.

Diwali is the Indian festival of lights and one of the most important dates in the Hindu calendar. The festival symbolises the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance” and this year falls on Saturday 14th November.
