Independent high street Beech Road in Chorlton is hosting spooktacular experiences with stacks of free activities for all the family.

On Saturday 26 October, CBeebies very own Katy Ashworth will be reading some terrifying tales at 11am at Barrio coffee shop and 1pm at The Tap House, there will be free face painting transforming little angels into scary monsters and wicked witches, and there will be a free ghoulish slime making workshop that will appeal to any ghostbuster.

And on 31 October, many of the shops are staying open until 6.30pm so that local children can pop in for a treat… And maybe the odd trick too.

The independent traders of Beech Road, which include artisan shops, artists, craftsmen, hairdressers, restaurateurs and publicans have all banded together to host the special community experience to raise funds to make improvements for Beech Road park.

Last year, the traders donated £500 to the park and it’s hoped that this year they will be able to increase the donation. Donation buckets will be available up and down the street.
