As a ‘taster’ event – to whet everyone’s appetite for the up-and-coming Battle Royal at The Albert Hall, Manchester – the Art Battle team will be staging a special pop-up ‘happening’ this Thursday 24 August to raise money for Oxjam.

Taking place at Foundation Coffee House, in the Northern Quarter, the pop-up Art Battle will feature Art Battle Manchester No 8 winner, Dano Vojtek, as well as fellow contestant, Scarlet Nieschmidt – the charity auctioneer on the recent Art Battle fund-raising auction.

“Oxjam have been showcasing local musical talent and raising money for a good cause, while we do the same with art, so it was a good fit to work together on this Pop-Up Art Battle. It’ll give a few of our Champions Artists a good training session ahead of the Battle Royal next month at Albert Hall and give the crowd a clue what to expect.” (John Macaulay – Art Battle founder).

Tickets are £4 in advance: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/412349Tickets will also be available on the door for £5.

Art Battle Manchester is one of Manchester best kept secrets which has been growing from strength to strength since its early beginnings just 4 years ago.

The organisers have delivered 10 sold out battles across the city in mills, warehouses, music venues, theatres, a skate park and even an old fire station!

The next Battle Royal will be its biggest event to date and will see the 10 winners of the previous Art Battle Manchester events return to the ring for one last skirmish and compete for the ‘Champion of Champions’ crown.

Albert Hall’s capacity crowd will watch a spectacle of painters, illustrators, tattooists and street artists go head-to-head in what has been described at the city’s most energetic art event. With only 30 minutes to create a masterpiece, the audience decides the winner of each round and – ultimately – the artist who will be crowned Champion of Champions.
