Spinningfields is about to be home to a huge new winter teepee this month, as The Curious Teepee brings some festive spirit to The Oast House.

In celebration of the award-winning bar’s 10-year anniversary, their seasonal set up will incorporate three huge tents joined together complete with roaring fires, twinkling fairy lights and faux fur throws in a stunning outdoor terrace on Wood Street

This seasonal drinking, dining and partying destination in Manchester’s upmarket finance district is set become a city centre hotspot with firepits and live music alongside limited-edition winter-warmer, hot chocolate, mulled wine and comforting street food – just in time for the chilly weather.

An artist’s impression shows what ‘Curious TeePee’ will look like before it re-opens on Friday 7th October at 5pm. The Curious Teepee has become something of a seasonal institution over the past ten years, but this year it has been completely reimagined with a huge open hub, allowing guests to see into the main bar and soak up the party atmosphere.

The Oast House’s snug retreat promises all-week-long live music, house-cooked food and laid-back warm and a welcoming atmosphere Monday-Sunday throughout the winter.

Inside the new lodge guests can expect to dine on some seriously comforting grub including loaded pies. Fillings include chicken madras topped with pilau mash, onion bhaji, mint raita, mango chutney and toasted almonds; steak and ale which comes topped with roast mushroom, roast tomato, onion ring and peppercorn sauce; or pulled pork and apple, with wholegrain mustard mash, Hendersons gravy, piccalilli topped with a Bury black pudding scotch egg.

Also coming to the winter social hub are Yorkshire Pudding Wraps filled with a choice of chicken, beef or vegetarian meatballs with hot stuffing, triple cooked potatoes, roasted vegetables and home-made gravy. Another menu newcomer is the buffalo chicken macaroni cheese topped with crispy chicken fillets, tossed in Frank’s hot sauce and served with a blue cheese dressing.

The Oast House and The Curious TeePee are open every day from 12noon until late throughout the winter and will continue hosting a packed roster of live musicians covering a range of genres from pop to rock to funk and soul, turning up the dial a notch for the festive period.

The heated venue is open for walk-ins, but you can also book a limited number of tables each day via The Oast House’s website and areas can be booked out for Christmas parties and gatherings.
