Police investigating the murder of 25 year old Charlie Elms in Oldham last week have arrested two teenagers

Charlie was fatally stabbed and pronounced dead at the scene at a property on Fifth Avenue,after a reported group of around five males armed with knives and machetes arrived in blue Vauxhall Corsa.

The two aged 17 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and criminal damage. They remain in custody for questioning.

A third man, aged 25, who presented himself at a police station on Friday 28 May, has been charged with violent disorder and criminal damage.

Detective Chief Inspector Carl Jones of GMP’s Major Incident Team: “Our investigation into this incident very much remains ongoing and we’re appealing to anyone who may hold information that could assist our enquiries to speak with police.

“We now have a dedicated incident portal for the public to upload information so I would urge anyone who holds information or footage to do so as a matter of urgency.”
