Manchester’s independent, Pan Asian eatery, Tampopo, is soon to become the family hot spot of the summer with the news that kids can now eat for free.
This summer, children can pick any main meal from the restaurant’s Eastern inspired menu and enjoy all the flavours of Tampopo for free. Whether their “Junior” or “Adventurous” explorers there’s something for everyone with menus created for kids under 8 and another especially for 8+ year olds.
There’s oodles of noodles with dishes perfect for introducing little ones to East Asian food via Junior Chicken Noodles and Mini Sticky Wings, as well as Pad Thai, Katsu Curry and Ramen Soup for the more experienced little diners. There’s veggie and vegan options too.
Cooling down in the summer sun is taken care of with a great range of kids drinks including homemade lemonade, child-friendly mocktail St Clement’s, apple juice, pineapple juice or milk – all for just an extra £1.
Desserts aren’t included in the deal but at only £1.50 parents feeling extra generous can extend the treat with chocolate ice cream, mango sorbet or mini churros. Plus Tampopo’s latest menu also includes Little Moons – the mochi-meets-ice cream desserts that have been sending social media users crazy over the past year, so older kids in tow may want to get in on this action.
All kids receive a colouring sheet and crayons too plus there’s toys, highchairs, baby changing and everything that those with their hands full of little ones are looking for from a dining out experience.

The free kids meals will be available until 31 August 2021 at Tampopo venues in Albert Square, the Corn Exchange, the Trafford Centre and their East Street Kiosk at the Trafford Centre too.

With this in mind, the Tampopo team have developed the menu across the sites over the last few months, improving some of customers favourite dishes to provide an even better experience. Fans can look forward to the return of some of their favourite dishes – from stone cold Tampopo classics like Thai Curry Noodles and Nasi Goreng to a better than ever Duck Red Curry, even tastier Singapore Noodles and an upgraded set of Satay Chicken Skewers.
