Having wowed the judges and the TV-viewing public with his stunning dishes on BBC’s Masterchef, Stockport-based finalist David Crichton is stepping into the kitchen at The Rivals Bar and Restaurant for one evening only on Wednesday 27 June.
Working closely with Head Chef Anna Fysh and the team at The Rivals he has designed a unique six-course tasting menu inspired by the dishes that led him to a coveted place in the final three on the TV show.

I’m thrilled to invite David into The Rivals, he is an extremely talented cook and the team can’t wait to get working on his menu. There was a real synergy between myself and David when we met, we are both passionate about creating original, delicious menus that diners will love. David’s menu is really exciting and this unique evening will be a brilliant experience for customers but also for all of us in the kitchen too.
David added,
It is a privilege to have been asked to work with the tremendous team at The Rivals. I’m honoured they have placed great in faith in me to host this special event. I hope my food can be just as grand as the setting.
This very special evening is available to book via the Royal Exchange Box office with tables available from 6.30pm.David’s menu will be complimented by a stunning wine flight created by Xana Franco. Xana has 15 years of hospitality experience and gained her passion for wine when she moved from Portugal to London 10 years ago.
