The Midland Hotel in Manchester has unveiled an exclusive one-off festive menu for 2025 in collaboration with Adam Reid.
Following the success of Events by Adam Reid at The Midland, Mount Street will open its doors to all guests as Chef Reid curates a one-off festive menu, featuring his signature style of great flavours, but with a more relaxed environment, and a sharing-style approach at an affordable price, crafted especially for this collaboration.
Guests are invited to begin their dining experience with a choice of starters, including a white onion, cider and Lancashire cheese soup, finished with crispy sourdough croutons and chives; a cocktail of Atlantic prawns, served with compressed lettuce and a spiced Marie Rose sauce; or marinated melon accompanied by roasted ham, honey glaze and hazelnut gremolata.
For the main course, the menu features pastrami-cured hot smoked Scottish salmon, elegantly paired with a parsley and cod roe sauce. Alternatively, diners may opt for the classic roasted turkey breast, complemented by grilled leg meat and buttery pan juice gravy. A distinguished vegetarian option is also available: salt-baked swede, glazed in muscovado and honey, and served with a rich vegetable gravy.
To complete the experience, the dessert selection offers a treacle tart with clotted cream and orange custard, a decadent 70% Guanaja chocolate mousse with boozy prunes, and a festive pavlova accompanied by ginger ice cream and advocaat.
Adam Reid says: “This menu will be my take on the flavours of the season but it won’t be your average Christmas dinner – it will be served with my signature Northern style with a focus on flavour rather than tradition”
This festive menu is available for £59 per person, served in Mount Street every Thursday to Saturday from 5pm to 9pm, between 12th November and 29th December.
