Much loved Northern Quarter cocktail spot, The Daisy, will be taking over the Hawksmoor Bar on Thursday 20th July in a collaboration that will celebrate the very best of local Manchester producers and suppliers.
The Daisy, a Parisian inspired subterranean cocktail bar which can be found tucked away in the Northern Quarter, offers an eclectic mix of original drinks. Some are well-loved classics with a dash of Daisy allure and there’s also a bespoke collection of cocktails inspired by the Peeling of the Daisy; a game of French origin, where a person seeks to determine not just if the object of their desire returns their affection (‘he loves me, he loves me not’).
For one evening only, the Daisy team will be curating an evening that celebrates some of the Northern Quarter’s much loved independent suppliers alongside a selection of Manchester’s most innovative drinks producers. Serving some of their most famous creations alongside a selection of specials, and bringing with them a touch of the Daisy charm and allure, this unique offering will sit inside Hawksmoor’s famous bar area complimenting their menu of famous charcoal grilled, 35-day dry aged steaks, delicious seafood, award winning wine list, and spectacular interiors.
Spirit of Manchester’s Wild Spirit gin and Pod’s Pea Vodka, which is distilled in Manchester, will feature in a number of the evening’s drinks. Palo Santo from Nordic Muse will be used to create the daiquiri whilst an Australian Chardonnay from NQ wine bar AdHoc will form the base of The Daisy’s famous Un Peu (‘he loves me a little’) – Chardonnay, Bergamot, Peach, Citric, Mezcal Rinse. Ceramics from Nordic Muse will be complemented by flowers from Northern Flower who will also be locally sourcing Elderflower to create an Edlerflower shrub for one of the evening’s specials.
The Daisy x Hawksmoor collaboration will take place on Thursday 20 July from 5pm. There’s no need to book, simply turn up for a table in the bar.
