This Christmas Selfridges is hosting a dreamlike dinner party of beautiful festive food created by Mary-Ellen McTague in aid of Eat Well MCR.

Tucked away in a special Christmas wonderland destination within Selfridges, guests will experience an evening of beautiful festive food, drink and music with all the sights, sounds and flavours of a wonderful Christmastime.

Hosted by acclaimed Manchester chef Mary-Ellen McTague, guests will be welcomed like old friends, and treated to an imaginative seven-course dinner with cocktails and champagne. This unique, immersive and surreal dining experience will be packed full of nostalgic glamour, fun and surprises, leaving guests with wonderful memories of a magical Christmas.

Taking place from Tuesday 30th November to Wednesday 15th December, the series of dinner parties will raise funds for Eat Well MCR’s Christmas Dinner appeal which will aim to deliver

1,000 Christmas dinners, with turkey and all the trimmings, to refuges, homeless families living in temporary accommodation and schools across the city to ensure those who are most vulnerable can enjoy a nutritious, restraint cooked meal this Christmas.

Eat Well MCR is a collective of Manchester-based chefs and hospitality professionals working to provide meals to children and families experiencing homelessness, women taking refuge in sheltered accommodation, parents of long-term sick children, foodbanks and schools supporting families experiencing food poverty.

The meals go beyond nutrition – they are cooked with care by professional chefs from the Manchester restaurant industry and offer a much-needed moment of respite. Since April 2020 over 55,000 meals have been delivered across Greater Manchester.

This one-off series of dinner parties will take place on 30th November, 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th and 15th December.

Tickets are priced at £95 per person with soft drinks paring or £120 with cocktail pairing.
