Families are guaranteed a visit from Santa Claus this Christmas as Merseyway hosts exclusive visits in a giant bauble.

Children can tell Father Christmas what they’d like for Christmas this December as Merseyway hosts exclusive visits in a giant bauble.

Located in the undercover mall, the giant bauble will be open from 11L00 – 15:00, where children of all ages can visit Santa Claus and receive an early Christmas present, free of charge.

Santa’s little helper, Sparkle the Elf, will also be entertaining the crowds with singalongs and short games of pass the parcel.

The giant bauble will be open for visits on the 7th, 8th, 14th and 15th December 2019 as well as selected late-night shopping dates, including 12th, 19th, 20th and 23rd December 2019 from 16:00 – 19:00.

Visits to Santa are free, however, the centre will be accepting donations for its charity of the year, Independent Options Children & Family Centre located in Hazel Grove.

Merseyway’s popular Festive Huts are also open until Tuesday 24 th December selling all kinds of festive treats including Yorkshire pudding wraps, waffles, German sausages and burgers, cheese, fudge and chocolate, Christmas decorations, gifts, jewellery and crafted cards and posters.

There is also a Snow Globe Experience where families can snap photos and have fun in a
giant snow globe.

Merseyway will also be asking for shoppers’ support this Christmas as it launches its first-ever Giving Tree. Ensuring less fortunate children from local charities and groups receive a Christmas present this year, visitors can choose a purple tag from the tree and purchase a gift from the centre for a child in need.

The Giving Tree will be located in the undercover mall outside Specsavers until Monday 16th December 2019 and participants can drop their gift donations in Yours Clothing, McDonald’s, Barrhead Travel or the centre management suite.

Victoria Nichol, Centre Manager said, “We’re thrilled Father Christmas will be coming to Merseyway this December! Christmas is always a magical time here in Merseyway and with Santa’s big arrival on Saturday 7th December, we’re confident this will be a popular event.”

“We’re also excited to be launching our very first Giving Tree- this is a great way to spread a little festive cheer to those in need and we’d like to encourage everyone to give what they can to help make each child’s Christmas extra special.”
