Today, Salvi’s Deli in Manchester’s Corn Exchange announces the launch of its brand-new Christmas Hampers, plus exclusive limited-edition D&G Panettone.

With the city of Manchester plunged into the government’s Tier 3, the family-run Salvi’s is giving one and all the opportunity to spread some authentic Italian cheer by making the incredible produce from its Deli available in some specially curated and themed gift hampers.

Available in small, medium and large, with prices ranging from £25 – 90, the readymade hampers are the perfect gift; for the aspiring chefs, the Pasta Making Hamper is made up of pasta flour, a tagliatelle rolling pin, a gnochetti board, taralli, arrabiatta seasoning, tomatoes and olive pâté.

The Manchester Cookbook Hamper is built with one of the recipes that Salvi’s contributed to the book in mind, fresh cavatelli with Salvi’s ragù, and contains parpadelle coloured pasta, pasta seasoning mix, olive oil, a copy of The Manchester Cookbook, tomatoes, oregano, chilli flakes and pandoro cake.

When it comes to wine, you will be spoilt for choice; the readymade Wine Hamper is available in a couple of combinations. Choose from either a bottle of Barolo wine, a bottle of Gavi di Gavi wine, Cantucci biscuits, taralli, pandoro and olive pâté or, for the fizz fans, Cantucci biscuits, a copy of The Manchester Cookbook, orecchiette, balsamic, a bottle of Prosecco, pesto, tomatoes, oregano and taralli.

Also available is the Beer Hamper, which does exactly what it says on the…well, hamper, as well as the option to build your very own bespoke version (no order too big or too small) so that you can cater for the specific taste of the lucky person you are buying it for or even just design the perfect present to yourself.

Salvi’s Deli is now the only place that you will find the much sought-after limited-edition D&G Panettone products in the North West. The collaboration between the creativity of Dolce&Gabbana and the confectionery artistry of Fiasconaro results in a unique recipe: the typical Milanese panettone, revisited with the flavours of Sicily.

An artisanal product that combines a stylish design with that of pastry; there are a number of new flavours available at the Deli along with the original Sicilian Pistachio panettone covered in white chocolate (with a velvety Pistachio cream in a special jar).

“Our customers can’t eat in our restaurants at the moment so we thought we would put together some options so that they can take the Salvi’s Christmas experience home. If we can ease the festive stress and help people out with their Christmas shopping with our hampers and exclusive D&G products then we will be a very happy team.”

(Maurizio Cecco, Salvi’s owner)
